Who was the first to know?? I can’t remember now. I think my friend Tanya and her boyfriend Nathan were the first ones to know since we had plans with them that night. We went to a favorite restaurant; Gourmandies.
The next day we were having dinner with my family. Christian was bringing things in and 2 of my brothers and my brother-in-law were standing around with me and I said “Guess what?” and held up my hand so they could see the ring. They were all surprised and said their congratulations and give me hugs. Christian had no idea I had told them and he came over and they all started congratulating him and while they were doing that I went into the kitchen where all the girls were and did the same thing. My sister’s reaction was the best! She saw the ring and exclaimed “OH MY GOSH!” and got a little teary eyed. I was on cloud 9.
The next day we announced it on Facebook. Of course. (A pitiful statement of today's indifferent communication. Oh, well. We're "reaching the masses", I guess.)
